Synopsis:Once reporter turned pulp inspired hero, Tom Halloway, convinces the X-Men that he wants to help them find Jean Grey's killer, he takes them back to his base of operations--the abandoned Welfare Penitentiary where he grew up surrounded by criminals (his father was the warden); Tom rescues Anne-Marie, another of Xavier's charges who has amazing powers of mimicry, from the police who want to use her to take down crime boss Unus; Cyclops tracks down one of Jean's other lovers, the boat captain, Logan, who wields a deadly set of claws.
