Synopsis:It is Peter's first day on the job as a detective and even being the captain's son doesn't prepare him for the shock of finding one of Xavier's sociopathic X-Men kids brutally murdered and washed up on the shore; When the police make little effort to solve the crime, reporter Tom Halloway tries to get to the bottom of the affair and interviews a number of colorful underworld characters including imprisoned shrink, Xavier, himself; Inspired by the pulps heroes, Tom puts on a costume and tracks down the X-Men but gets a less than friendly reception.
